Introducing the new music player.
This looks like an ordinary table, but deeply embedded in its structure is a system designed to play music straight from your Apple device. Using Airplay, this system produces great sounding audio with no hassle.
The only hassle though, this table costs more than $5,000. It might be time to break out that inheritance money or mow grandma’s lawn a few times, it’s worth it.
Hideyuki Nakayama teamed up with UNION, a manufacturer of door handles and levers, to create a glass globe doorknob. As you approach the doorknob you catch a glimpse of what appears to be another world, waiting for you to enter and join, but in fact is a reflection of the room on the other side of the door.
It may not be the ideal place to eat dinner off of, but this table would be the perfect centerpiece for football (soccer) fanatics all over the world. Design Studio Oscar & Ewan was commissioned to build the table for Nike and SHOWstudio’s Art of Football exhibit. The stadium plan was waterjet cut into the table top and each layer was lowered down in towards the center. An old Anglepoise lamp was used to mimic stadium floodlighting.
